Coach Wiggins
Growing up in Gary, Indiana, I learned early that life doesn't pull punches, so I had to learn to roll with them. The 49th ave projects were my home, but the basketball court? That was my sanctuary.I was a star on the court, but the streets had their own siren song, promising quick success and an escape from the daily grind. College seemed like my golden ticket out, so I grabbed it with both hands. But the streets weren't done with me yet. One bad decision led to another, and before I knew it, I was watching my academic dreams slip away. Desperate for a fresh start, I packed my bags for Denver. I pursued an x-ray tech degree, thinking I'd finally found my path. But the entrepreneurial itch I'd been ignoring? It wasn't going away. In 2001, I took a leap and launched Aun Records. The music industry was a wild ride, but something still felt off. Five years later, I opened a soul food restaurant. I was filling bellies but not the void I felt inside.
As these ventures came and went, I found myself drawn back to the basketball court - this time, as a coach. For 15 years, I guided young boys in travel ball, unknowingly preparing for my true calling.
In 2017, I started Aun Productions, a print shop that seemed to be the culmination of my business journey. But life had one more curveball to throw my way.
It was during a particularly challenging project at the print shop that I had my epiphany. A client, struggling with self-doubt, shared their story. As I offered words of encouragement and practical advice, I saw a spark ignite in their eyes. In that moment, I realized my experiences - the struggles, the victories, the lessons learned - weren't just for me. They were meant to be shared.
This realization set me on a new path. I pursued certification in coaching and speaking, transforming from a street-smart entrepreneur to a polished, empathetic mentor. The skills I'd honed over years of diverse experiences now served a higher purpose.
Today, I stand as a testament to the power of transformation. From the projects of Gary to the speaking stages of Tampa, my journey embodies the change I seek to inspire in others. As a full-time mentor, life coach, and speaker, I've found my true calling.
My mission is clear:
to help people become the person they want to become. Drawing from my own journey of reinvention, I guide others to unlock their potential, overcome their obstacles, and write their own success stories.
Every day, I'm grateful for the twists and turns that led me here. They've equipped me with the tools to not just talk the talk, but to walk alongside others on their own paths to transformation. This isn't just a job for me - it's a calling, a purpose, and a privilege.
